Official Press Release: Global Frames Fest USA Announces 2027 Call for Entries!
We are incredibly excited to share our latest milestone! As officially announced through the Florida Press Release Service, Global Frames Fest USA is officially launching the call for entries for our 2027 global short film festival. As a non-profit organization dedicated to championing independent cinema, our goal is to build an international bridge for short-form creators.
Every great story deserves to be seen. No matter your language, no matter your region—your voice has a home with us.
Submission Categories
To accommodate a wide array of narrative structures, we are thrilled to accept entries across three distinct short-form categories:
1-Minute World Stories: Fast-paced, high-impact narratives or conceptual stories restricted to a 60-second limit.
3 to 10-Minute Short-Shorts: Focused, tight storytelling that demonstrates masterclass pacing.
10 to 30-Minute Short Films: Extended narrative projects allowing for deeper character arcs and complex production values.
Important Dates & Early Bird Submissions
For filmmakers ready to share their voice, our Early Bird submission window officially opens on July 18, 2026. This window runs through September 30, 2026, offering discounted entry rates for creators who submit early.
Submissions can be made directly via Film Freeway or right here on our official website at globalframesfest.org. We are a highly inclusive festival and welcome all non-English language submissions, provided they are accompanied by English subtitles.
World-Class Judging & The Grand Finale
All entries will undergo a rigorous evaluation process by an esteemed jury panel of veteran film professionals. Winners in each category will receive competitive cash prizes, alongside prestigious awards and formal industry recognition.
The excitement will culminate in February 2027 with a live screening of the festival's official selections. Finalists and cinema enthusiasts will gather in Orlando, Florida, for an unforgettable theatrical showcase and grand finale ceremony.
We are empowering underrepresented and emerging creators to showcase their unique artistic visions on a global stage. We cannot wait to see what you create!
